Deep within the Akatsuki base, within the underground chambers lay one door. The door was at the end of a long hall, the way not even lit by a single candle. Deep within the room, bubbling noises, the scratches of a pen, the moans of frustration, and the banging of a fist on a desk could be heard. Within the door lay the lair of the Nightmare's Creations.
Within..
Within the room stood Zaer. Constantly walking between various desks, he measured contents in vials, ran his chakra through different substances, and took notes the entire time. Zaer took a sample of his blood, dropping drops into each of three containers. Seemingly unsatisfied by his results, Zaer let another sight escape his throat. "So d**n close.. why won't it work?!.. Ugh. Better check on experiment number two."
Zaer quickly walked over to another desk. He took his chakra and created a Kuro-Sesshou Bunshin. He began to channel chakra through his Akatsuki cloak. Putting the cloak on the bunshin, he gave it commands. The bunshins followed each command. Zaer nodded to the bunshin as he released his jutsu and took the cloak back. Performing three handseals over the cloak, he waited patiently as the new black color seeped into the cloak. Zaer wrote some notes down on a notebook near the cloak, writing quickly he finished the page and ran back over to his first experiment.
Zaer looked onto his vials, noting that they needed more time, he ran over to the back of the room. Zaer did some quick handseals and a door opened. Walking into the back door, Zaer entered a huge subterranean room. He quickly performed handseals, summoning the "king of hell" statue. Zaer began to check statue. Making notes about it, he returned to the laboratory room.
Within the room Zaer pulled out vials. He began to pour them into vials containing other liquids. As the liquids reacted, Zaer took notes and compared them to his notes about the statue and a third set of notes. Repeating the process three times, Zaer finally finished with a grin. With his grin still on, Zaer finished his notes and moved onto his third experiment.
Looking longingly at the necklace at the table, Zaer let out a small sigh. Zaer took a second blood sample of himself, pouring it into twelve different vials. Moving to another desk, he pulled out twelve vials of different substances. He poured the his blood samples into each of the substances and watched the reaction. Unsatisfied with unique reactions, he began to mix all together. His eyes opened with amazement at the reactions he saw. He repeated the test, this time using nine vials each time with different combinations per trial. Still satisfied, Zaer took quick notes with haste. After his notes, he ran back to his first experiment.
Zaer looked over his notes quickly, comparing them to his third experiment's notes. Zaer's eyes slowly widened as he worked, each word compared bringing a bigger smile to his face. Suddenly, Zaer returned his notes and looked at the "king of hell statue". With quick handseals, Zaer undid the jutsu and returned the statue to its home. Zaer closed the door with some more handseals and looked over his experiments. As Zaer looked over them, he began to chuckle. The chuckle slowly turned into a laughter that rang through the Akatsuki base. Zaer's laughter went on and on, his eyes wide with joy..
But.. What did he find?..
