Akatsuki ranks: These are the ranks of current Akatsuki members. Each name is a link the person's profile. Ranks are not permanent, I may change them if you don't do well. Also, a lower ranked member can challenge a higher up for his/her position, described below.

Official are those who have received Akatsuki member jutsus and are Akatsuki until death. Unofficial, of course, haven't received the jutsus and are only Akatsuki by name, not by deed. We do not consider unofficial members part of us, nor will we help you.
To become a ranked Akatsuki member, you must be official!
Akatsuki ranks/challenge: You may challenge a higher ranked member for his rank, including leader. However, you do not have to make a formal challenge to the leader and can best him in a normal fight, thus taking his position. If you want another member's position, you must challenge him here. If both players agree, I will create a thread in this base for both players to have a bout in. I will state the battle rules (follow forum rules as well), and the players will fight by them. Winning the fight doesn't necessarily mean you win the position, depending how the fight goes, but it is the most likely case. So, the positions are changed after the match, and the people involved may challenge again after 24 hours from the end of the match. You do not receive a penalty for losing the match, unless you lose your position to the winner.
Apprentices: Akatsuki ranked members may have subordinates. These are subordinate Akatsuki members who are ranked as well, but ranked under their ranked leader. Subordinates have their own ranks, all subordinates are under ranked Akatsuki members. Also, All Leader subordinates are ranked higher than position 1 subordinates, position 1 higher than position 2, etc. Subordinates must listen to their ranked leader as well as the Akatsuki leader. Subordinate members will normally accompany their ranked leader on missions. Subordinates are not apprentices, if you want to learn your ranked leader's jutsus you must go to the Team Board and request apprenticeship or have the ranked leader post an application to teach you, however the format goes.
Like ranked members, subordinates can challenge others for their position. The format goes the same, etc. If you wish to join as a subordinate for another Akatsuki ranked member, and the position is open, post here to change. You will be put into the first open position.
