Touketsu looked into the bright blue sky, not a sign of any storms coming what-so-ever. Touketsu decided that it was a perfect day for training in his home village. With a bright smile, the young Hyouden began searching for a suitable location. Finding a clearing not too far away, the boy looked around. The ground was soft from recent rain, not too muddy however. The rea went on for a good distance, the start of a forest to the south-east and a little creek leading into a river at the start of the forest. Touketsu knew the river wouldn't be anywhere close, he had been here before, so he decided this was perfect. To start things off, Touketsu activated his first jutsu after a series of handseals. "Hyouton • Hatsuyuki!"
The bright blue sky suddenly began to snow, the unnatural snowy substance created by chakra slowly falling to the soft earthen floor. As the snow fell, its speed suddenly picked up and began covering the ground. After a while, the snow began to calm down to a slow pace once more, three feet of the cold, white substance covering the ground. With a grunt from exertion, Touketsu pulled himself out of the snow and stood upon it. He used a new set of handseals, activating his next jutsu, "Hyouton • Buriza-do!" Hands extended and spinning around in 360 degrees, Touketsu began to freeze the top layer of snow that was melting. After the water became ice, Touketsu sped the snow up once more to create a perfect Hyouton training area.
Touketsu knew the unique style in which he used his previous jutsus would weaken him. He had jutsus to do the exact actions he used his previous jutsus for, and them being made to do that would have saved him energy, but he needed to learn to be creative and productive, able to think of new strategies on whim. After his quick breather, Touketsu began new handseals. Activating his third jutsu, "Hyourou no Jutsu," Touketsu create ice pillars which jutted out of the ground and extended high into the air. Ten in total, Touketsu would use these to begin training.
Touketsu dashed to the first column of ice, his speed unknowingly (to him) increasing on the snow and ice. With a quick series of slashes, Touketsu began to chop down the column. Every three slashes he made chopped off another piece, causing the block to get smaller. Touketsu was working on the bottom, slowly changing the slices to two. As he worked on, ten minutes passed before Touketsu could get it down to one slash. Touketsu went on, finishing the block after another twelve minutes. With a sigh, Touketsu went on to another block, already feeling tired but knew he had to go on.
At the second block, Touketsu tried something new. He ran up the block, using a perfect series of chakra control and ice manipulating techniques to manage to run up the column of ice. Once at the top, Touketsu slashed to take a bit of the ice off as he slide or jumped back down. Repeating this process, Touketsu fell many times whiles trying to slash. Needing a constant series of perfect chakra control and ice manipulating as well as resistance to the fast falling snow, Touketsu was using a hardcore training regime. Needless to say, Touketsu worked on and was slowly, but surely, getting better.

Touketsu was tired now. He had gone through another three blocks, making a total of five blocks destroyed. Touketsu knew he had to keep going. Without destroying all ten blocks, this training would have been for nothing. "Man, sometimes you just want to give up.. But without effort there's no fruit to be picked." Touketsu smirked, whistling a tune to himself as he ran across the ice towards the sixth pillar.
Touketsu suddenly sped up, faster than he had ever gone before. In an instant he gets an idea and performs a handseal off the spot. Channeling the chakra through the handseal and into his feet at a constant circle-like motion, Touketsu speeds up across the ice and vanishes. Touketsu appears above the block of ice, slashing all the way down. When Touketsu reaches the bottom, the ice column falls to pieces behind him. Touketsu then dashes once more, speeding up a little too fast and crashing into the ice block. Cursing himself, Touketsu picked himself up.
The genin decided to try another again. Running in the opposite direction, Touketsu put distance between him and the block of ice. Touketsu began running once more, activating the jutsu and naming it. "Hyouton • Dasshu!" With that, Touketsu appears behind the block of ice. Jumping into the air, Touketsu once more began slashing through the ice. He made it down in less time, with the column of ice falling in pieces in front of him. Smiling, Touketsu went to work on column eight.
Running towards the huge pillar of ice. Touketsu used his Dasshu jutsu once more. This time, he used his speed to add to his strength. Leaping as he ran, Touketsu raised his sword and slashes down with a loud grunt. With one hit, the column of ice was instantly shattered. Smiling, Touketsu decided to try it once more to make sure it wasn't a fluke.
Touketsu ran towards block nine, activating his Hyouton Dasshu again. As he ran, he spun his sword for momentum. Nearing the block, he leaped into the air and spun. "Kurogane Sumasshu!" With the climax of his spin, Touketsu slammed his sword into the column of ice. The ice was cut clean in half, the top half falling to the floor and smashing into thousands of crystalline pieces. Right before the top half hit the ground, however, the bottom half shattered. As the ice scattered across the floor, Touketsu turned his gaze towards block ten.
Touketsu wanted to try something different this time. He believed whatever you could create, you could destroy. Touketsu attempted to send chakra through his ice, trying to shatter the ice from the inside. He failed the first time, only tiring himself out. The second time his concentration slipped from exhaustion. However, the third time was a charm. With a smile at the knowledge he had suceded, Touketsu forced his chakra to run through the column. With a sudden burst of chakra, the pillar exploded, shards of ice almost impaling Touketsu himself. Touketsu managed to dodge, but took a few scratches anyway. With a smile, Touketsu named the move, "Hyouton • Bakuhatsu."
Touketsu sighed as his work finished, relieved he had learnt new things. Sliding across the ice, Touketsu found a place to sit near a tree. Touketsu fell to the ground, laying down for some rest. His head facing the tree, and his feet facing outwards, the tree's shadow gave him shade from the sun. Touketsu was naturally immune to the deadly effects of the cold atmosphere, so the current temperature wouldn't kill him if he slept. Closing his eyes, Touketsu rested after finishing the first part of his training session.
