So, it's about 1:07 am here and I am still bushed from work. Out of laziness, I took one of my old clans from another site and moved it here. For the record, anywhere it says Konoha should be Kiri on this site, and everywhere you see Ketsueki should have an extra E between the U and K...

Name of Kekkei Genkai: Chimanako (Bloodshot Eyes)
Description: The term Chimanako refers to an eye state the user can bring about at will by focusing chakra. As the name implies, the eyes become terribly bloodshot upon activation, with the pupils of the eyes also becoming a dark shade of red. For the amount of time used, the Chimanako grants a member of the Ketsuki bloodline enhanced eyesight by numerous means.
The focused chakra boosts the already rapid speed that information is sent to the brain at and thus boosts the users speed of movement and makes the actions of others seem slowed to a certain extent, resulting in an overall faster reaction time. The user also begins to see the people and things around them as if their outermost layer had been peeled away.
-For example, seeing past the skin and straight to the muscles
Prolonged usage of the Chimanako puts heavy strain on the blood vessels in the eyes of the user and can thus lead to a number of different eye conditions, from slight pain to complete blindness, if abused.
History: The Chimanako can be traced back to second generation of the Ketsueki family, the first person to use it being Akio Ketsueki. The clan has always been fascinated with treatment of the human body and has been known to produce some of Kiri’s most successful medical nin in the past. Akio Ketsueki was said to have been separated from the rest of his team during his days as a genin, on a mission that quickly went wrong in unexpected ways. He was wounded on several parts of the body and had internal bleeding, he was aware death was coming quickly for him and felt he had nothing to loose by trying his hand at self recovery.
His adrenaline rushed, he focused his chakra in ways unimaginable through sheer willpower, and began to treat himself in a cave hidden by a raging waterfall. Akio combined the Chakra no Mesu and Shousen Jutsu to morph his hands into the tools needed to perform a light version of surgery on himself, all the while his eyes steadily became stronger and made the process easier. It was also as if Akio could see through the skin completely, as if he could see straight into the muscle tissue that needed his attention most. Performing surgery on yourself is by no means a simple task. Even the most accomplished of medical nin would hesitate to attempt it out of fear of mistake. But Akio enhanced eyesight made things almost too easy to do and reality seemed to slow down for him as he worked, he didn't feel rushed at all. Akio continued to focus his chakra even more then before at the eyes, he was determined to succeed.
Before Heeda could finish on himself, he was discovered by ally forces and taken to a medical facility to receive adequate help. He later went blind that night and remained that way for the remainder of his life, the stress of his eyes that day was so great that it’s benefits outweighed the setbacks and passed on to his children through blood. The toll prevented him from witnessing it, but Akio Ketsueki had indeed created a lasting bloodline ability. As years progressed the Chimanako was named, perfected, and utilized by all types of ninja of the Ketsueki name. The Chimanako found it’s way to Rokuro through his mother.
Description: The Tenpuku Chimanako is the undiscovered evolution of the Chimanako, its roots stem from the young Mist Jounin known as Rokuro Ketsueki. The Tenpuku Chimanako was brought about by strong emotions, over flowing chakra (resulting from the use of soldier pills), and heavy strain of the Chimanako’s first stage. The first three times Rokuro advanced into the Tenpuku Chimanako, it was by accident and during life and death situations. Now he has learned to call upon it by will. The abilities of the Tenpuku Chimanako and appear the same in every way, with only one major benefit and setback coming into play.
Just as with the first stage of the Chimanako, the member of the Ketsueki bloodline is gifted with an increased reaction time and the ability to see beneath the surface layer of people ad objects. The user is also given the ability to see through the eyes of another after making eye contact with them. This is particularly useful when used against someone who has another doujutsu.
The side effects for using the Tenpuku Chimanako outweigh those of the normal Chimanako greatly. It rapidly drains the users chakra and requires the use of solider pills for extended battles, and it’s been said that solider pills will greatly fatigue a person after three days time. Immediately after the Tenpuku Chimanako has been canceled, the user will begin to bleed from both corners of both eyes, and will continue to bleed until medically treated, making death from blood loss a major threat.
Using the Tenpuku Chimanako requires unbelievable mental skill, as the user must be able to manage shifting between their sight and the targets at the appropriate times. Thus, it can either be a great help or a great mistake in battle[/size]
